Useful Information
Probably, this part of the website is fairly self-explanatory, but may prove invaluable if you are not getting the help you should be getting from your local councillor. Alternatively, if your problem is a new one, this section provides a convenient method of getting in touch with the right people to help resolve it.

Whilst we have no current Essex County councillors, our performance in the 2009 elections (second in the District overall and an average of 25% of the votes in our four targeted seats) allows us to think of yourselves as serious contenders in 2013. However, we are not waiting until then and have prospective candidates (what we call Ward Representatives) shadowing all eight County seats and it is these who will seek to support you if you are getting short shrift from your current elected representatives.

Similarly, whilst we have 10 Tendring District Councillors (gaining an average of 45% of the vote across the 17 wards that we contested in 2007), we have prospective candidates shadowing the current incumbents in an increasing number of wards. Once again, they are there to help you.

What is less well known is that Tendring First also has many Town and Parish councillors, working hard for their local communities. For example, 11 of 16 councillors on Frinton and Walton Town Council are members of Tendring First and have demonstrated, quite successfully, that every so-called ‘tier’ of local government has the wherewithal to improve the lives of their residents.

But there is more - we also offer an explanation of what we think a councillor should (and should not) do, what we expect of ourselves as Tendring First Councillors and even provide detailed information of interest to anyone who had ever thought about or is thinking about Becoming a Councillor.
