Unlike our local Conservative councillors in Tendring, very many of their colleagues elsewhere in the county and the country clearly did not see it as a waste of time to try (at least) to persuade Mr. Pickles of the error of his ways. 

 

It is also evident that community leaders in other areas are trying to avoid cuts to voluntary services as best they can without resorting to 'Big Society' gimmicks.
